Facebook Groups for Leads and Sign Ups

WEEKLY TRAINING ARCHIVES

Here are some simple things you can do on Facebook that have been successful in getting me leads and signups for a variety of programs. This is a way that can be done IN ADDITION to other forms of promotion (not as a primary or sole way of marketing). It involves quick and easy little things you can do daily, which will add up over time and begin to produce results..

I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase “people join people”. That’s totally true in a lot of cases. For instance, I didn’t join Step To Wealth because of the opportunities, but because I know, like and trust John Huffman. And I didn’t become co-admin of Rockthebizops because of the opportunities, but because I know, like and trust Steven Anthony. And some of your referrals won’t be joining Step To Wealth because of the opportunities, but because they know, like and trust you and therefore want to partner with you.
How many people do you think totally fail trying to promote their systems, opportunities, products, etc., in the Biz Op FB ad posting groups? How many times have you seen people leaving comments that say posting on FB groups doesn’t work? The answer is LOTS. But you CAN get sign ups IF you go about it in the right way.
When marketing on Facebook; it’s not just 1 thing that you do that creates success. It’s a combination of multiple things that create “bread crumbs" that lead people to your door. And since "people join people" - you need to put yourself out there so that people know who you are.
Provide value to people, help people by doing things for the greater good rather than just only posting ads. This way, you’re not coming across as someone who just wants to aggressively promote your programs.

Use Facebook & FB Groups to promote YOURSELF as someone who cares about the success of ALL, not just your own. "newbies" may think they can't do this, but they absolutely can. No matter how new, we all have knowledge & experiences that we can share to help others. We can all provide encouragement and positive feedback.
People don’t like to be pressured. We like to come to our own conclusions on our own. So you just need to position yourself as a friendly caring marketer and become known so that when people do come to their own conclusion to join a program, it’s YOU they decide to join it through, because they know who you are & that you care about their success, they know you will help & aren’t afraid to share your knowledge & experience to help others.
The IDEAL situation you want to grow into is to have people contacting YOU to sign up for the programs you’re involved with. Trust me, it’s a great feeling when people message you that they want to join this or that program through you, all because they’ve seen you providing value, helping others, answering question, etc.
So here are a few simple little things to do that have proven to be successful. These are things that you too can do starting right now. Get into the habit of doing these every day and pretty soon, your little snowball will grow into a larger snowball and will keep getting bigger and bigger.

These little things are like planting seeds. Keep doing them, keep “watering” these seeds and before you know it, those seeds start to grow and you’ll start to have people seeking YOU out.
1. Comment on Comments: Any time you make a post and someone leaves a comment on your post, make sure that you leave a quick reply to their comment. This shows that you’ve read their comment & appreciate them taking time to leave the comment. This is what creates engagement, Facebook LOVES engagement, and so Facebook will boost your posts without you having to pay for it, so more people will see them. People also like to get responses to their comments, so it is not just about boosting your posts, its about making people feel special and appreciated!
2. Like/Love/Wow Comments: In addition to replying, make sure to give a Like/Love/Wow on their comments as well. They’ll get a notification and sometimes come back for more conversation (engagement).
3. The Law of Reciprocity: If you’re out on FB Groups and see a post or comment from someone you know, give their post or comment a Like/Love/Wow. Help boost their post and there’s a good chance that they’ll reciprocate (but even if they don't, they'll come to know you as supportive). When you do something nice for others, they usually do something nice for you. That's how the law works!
4. Start your own groups and invite people on your email lists and put the link to it on your timeline and in other groups (make sure it is allowed). I have this group, an ad posting group I created, an ad posting group I co-admin, and "orphaned" ad posting groups I took over. I co-admin in Steven's group. I have been co-admin in other groups.

Which do you think is a better approach for Facebook: "Join my biz" or "join my group, where you can promote (or learn)"?
5. Invite people to connect who comment on your posts or comments if not already a FB friend, tell people they can message you for assistance or clarification. They will see what you promote in the ad posting groups and in your profile (be sure to put a link to one of your lead capture pages as part of your profile) and if you also post occasionally about it on your timeline, and they WILL ask about it if interested once they come to know you better.
6. Use Messenger: Don’t be afraid to use Messenger to chat with those who have asked you a question or commented on your posts. Just don't let it become a time waster. Be clear that you use it to help people, not for small talk. The only people I share a program with in messenger is people already working with me who I know for a fact won't mind.
7. Give Value and Share: Share what you’re doing, share tips or techniques that have worked for you, do a How-To post to help others. For instance, if you join "XYZ biz" and are having success, share that in the "XYZ biz" Facebook group. You won't get referrals, since members are already in that program, but you'll establish yourself and get a good reputation, and gain followers who will eventually see other programs you promote
There’s been quite a few times where people have reached out to me because of my posts, comments, support of their posts, and just being friendly - and have signed up through me for one or more programs I recommend.

When you show people how to do something or share your knowledge or experience or successes, they feel that they know you and that you can help them. Also, be sure to acknowledge and celebrate the success and knowledge and experiences shared by others.
Do these little techniques really work? YES. And they don't cost anything and don't take a lot of time.
But again, they’re not to replace other forms of marketing; i.e., you should use them along with other forms of marketing to help you to get better known & to help others get to know you better.
You joined this group freely and you have come to know I care about your success, right?
